Aisling Truck Academy's number one goal is to help you become a successful commercial truck driver, not just a CDL holder. We train you for your career by teaching real job skills we've gained in our 45-plus years of experience as commercial driving instructors AND trucking company owners.
The curriculum for Aisling Truck Academy was written, in part, while Bud and Cathy were hauling freight over the road encountering entry-level drivers who were dangerously under trained.
“We started building on the idea of starting our own school and made lists of lesson plans we would be sure to include in our future program. Our favorite past-time was “When we start our school we’ll make sure our student know how to slide tandems-check for brake adjustment BEFORE going down the Grapevine-back up to the dock in shipping facilities-choose the proper gear before going down a mountain grade-” and about a hundred other key items that were lacking in driver training. It sounds cliche but the Academy content was really born in the sleeper berth of a 1995 Peterbilt going down Interstate 5.
